*September 14, 2010 - ATLANTA - Peachtree Hotel Group (PHG), a lodging organization focused on operating and investing in premium select service and extended-stay hotels today announced the addition of two first mortgage note purchases and one hotel acquisition, growing their portfolio to 13 properties. * As of May 2009, Peachtree Hotel Group is extremely proud to announce that the management arm of the company, Peachtree Hospitality Management, has officially been approved by Marriott International to manage its focused service brands. In July 2009, PHM will begin managing the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Indianapolis, Ind., the Residence Inn in Southern Pines, N.C. and the newly opened Fairfield Inn & Suites in Gadsden, Ala.
* In April of 2009, Peachtree Hotel Group opened its eighth hotel – the 91-room Fairfield Inn & Suites in Gadsden, Ala. The hotel features the latest Fairfield FF&E package, “Green Tea”, an expanded fitness center, outdoor pool and 750 square feet of meeting space. It is the company’s first ground-up construction and has the distinction of being the first Marriott hotel in the Gadsden market as well the only Marriott within a 30-mile radius.
* In October 2008 Intech Hotel Partners broke ground on a 122-room Hilton Garden Inn in Northwest Indianapolis, Ind.. The project is a joint venture between Peachtree Hotel Group and Vision Hospitality Group, of Chattanooga, Tenn. Vision is the lead developer and will manage the property once it is completed. The hotel is scheduled to open in the Fourth Quarter of 2009.
* In July 2008, Peachtree Hotel Group purchased a two property portfolio from Houston-based hotel development and management company, Vista Host. The portfolio consists of the 68-room Hampton Inn and the 76-room Comfort Suites in Starkville, Miss. In order to bring the hotels up to Peachtree's exacting standards, the company plans to spend about $2.5 million on renovations. The Hampton Inn is the first to undergo transformation, followed by the Comfort Suites. The renovations will include new soft goods, carpeting, bathrooms, corridors and public space for both hotels. The Hampton Inn will feature the new “Perfect Mix” lobby and the new “Jump Start” fitness center. Renovations at both properties are scheduled for completion in the Third Quarter of 2009. Both properties will be managed by Peachtree Hospitality Management.
* In April of 2008, Peachtree Hotel Group, in conjunction with Castle Properties, closed on a 12-acre parcel in Columbus, Miss. The partnership will develop and build an 85-room Fairfield Inn & Suites and a 110 -room Courtyard by Marriott on the site. Once opened, Peachtree Hospitality Management will also provide hotel management services.
